Saeedeh Khazaei
PhD Student
Khazaei.saeedeh@usc.es
She has studied Chemistry during her Bachelor and her Master. She is a PhD student in pharmaceutical biomaterials at Tehran University of Medical Sciences and now she is doing an internship in the group under the supervision of Marcos Garcia-Fuentes. Her PhD thesis is focused on the self-assembling peptides and their applications in cancer vaccines. Also, she has some experiences on drug-delivery systems and synthesis of porphyrin complexes.
Héctor Rilo Álvarez
PhD Student
hector.rilo.alvarez@usc.es
Hector finished his Pharmacy degree studies and began the PhD program of drug R&D in the Center for Research in Molecular Medicine and Chronic Diseases (CIMUS) of University of Santiago, in Biomaterials and Drug Delivery group under the supervision of Prof. Marcos García. He is in his second PhD year.

Rocío Mellid
PhD Student
rocio.mellid@rai.usc.es
Rocío finished her Pharmacy degree studies in the University of Santiago de Compostela this 2020, and she has just begun the PhD program of drug research and Development in the Center for Research in Molecular Medicine and Chronic Diseases (CiMUS) of University of Santiago de Compostela, where she had previously done external practises and her experimental final degree project, under the supervision of Prof. Marcos García.

Sara Gutiérrez
PhD Student
sara.gutierrez.gutierrez@rai.usc.es
Sara studied bachelor's degree in pharmacy in University of Salamanca and after a year studying abroad in Australia a Medical Course of English-CAE Certificate, she came back to the University of Santiago de Compostela to start her career as a scientific in our group. She carried out the Master on Investigation and Development of Drugs offered by the Faculty of Pharmacy in the focusing on the topic of biological nanocarriers for drug delivery goals.
The first year of her PhD she moved towards this topic by developing Virus-like particles (VLPs) through cell-free synthesis methods applying molecular biology and genetic engineering techniques. From this second thesis year, she would translate the experience gained to develop Radiotherapy-Activated Immunomodulating Niches (RAINs) for Glioblastoma treatment.
