Singular Science 2020

After four previous successful editions, but adapting to the current situation, this year, the "Singular Science" conference of the Network of Singular Research Centers of the University of Santiago de Compostela took place in a 100% virtual format. During the day, the public could learn about the research work that is being carried out in the research groups of CiMUS, CiQUS and CiTIUS and in the Galician Institute of High Energy Physics.

Our group participated with a workshop on "Multiple Use Spheres" carrying out the formulation of alginate microcapsules by ionic gelation. This spherification process is widely extended in the food industry and medicine, where it is undertaken for or encapsulated drugs. Through this link, Sheila, Chema and Rocío will teach you this technique to produce this microparticles in a clear and didactic way.
