Carla García Mazás
PhD
Carla.garcia@usc.es
Carla received her Master's degree (2015) in Pharmacy from the University of Santiago de Compostela. Her master's project was focused on the development of ion-sensible hydrogels for the treatment of ocular cystinosis, a rare disease that causes blindness, under the supervision of Prof. Francisco Otero Espinar. After graduation she began the PhD in Pharmaceutical technology in the University of Santiago, under the supervision of Prof. Marcos García Fuentes, developing new nano-carriers for cancer treatment. She was awarded with a FPU fellowship, in the framework of the Spanish Ministry and recently she has been funding for an intership in the université Catholique de Louvain under the supervision of Veronique Preat.
